Bubbles

Who knew this little $5 bubble blower from Michael's would make Sienna so happy?

I have to admit, I was pretty impressed by the amount of bubbles this little guy produced! They were beautiful and in the right light, the bubbles were all different colors. It was beautiful.

Sienna was AMAZED by them. We played with them for a long time. The look of amazement and wonder melted my heart. She was so excited.

She would try to catch them, touch them, or just watch them slowly fall to the ground.

Then after a while, she tried to eat them. It was awesome.

How is it February already? Seriously?

Man, I have not been good about blogging lately!! Yikes.

Christmas morning

Sienna got a new rocking horse and by the look on her face, you can tell she was not so sure of it at first. She has definitely grown to like it, but it took a while.

Sienna got a recliner from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. She LOVES it!

January pics:

We took Sienna to the Fresno zoo in January. It was awesome. The zoo is small enough so that we were only there for about an hour and a half, but she still got to see some amazing animals. She loved looking at the animals and really enjoyed watching the elephants, orangutans, giraffes, and the seals.

She especially loved the orangutans. She would say, "Ooohh, Oooohhh," like a monkey, while watching them.

Sienna's first pony tail. I had to put mine in one too, in order for her to let me touch her hair. It was short lived. The moment I took mine out...so did she. This little one doesn't like me touching her hair!

That's going to be awesome as she gets older :/

watching Baby Signing Time with her baby...she knows over 20 signs now! It's so much fun and I attribute that to this awesome DVD series that my friend Heather introduced me to. She LOVES signing and it is so fun to be able to communicate with her about certain things!

Lately

Sienna has grown more and more independent lately. She started walking a week before Thanksgiving and along with walking, she took on a whole new level of independence. She's now started having some tantrums (that quite frankly, make me laugh) and she loves doing things on her own. She continues to be so happy and silly and has become even more loving than she already was. She constantly gives us hugs and kisses. She blows kisses all the time (even though her version is just kissing her hand with a puckering sound) and she waves at any car she sees go by. Sienna also LOVES dancing. Any time she hears music, whether it's coming from the radio, from TV, a stuffed animal, or from a store, she starts busting a move (which is amazing to watch). She first started just moving her little hips back and forth and now she has some awesome shoulder moves that she rocks out. It is hilarious. We constantly dance around our house and she loves taking turns dancing with mommy or daddy.

Sienna still loves books so much. I hope she always continues having this love for reading.

Then she hung out there for awhile.

Until she got sad because she couldn't get out. So mama helped her get out.

Sienna now wants to feed herself with her spoon. She holds it and we help her get the food on her spoon. Then she puts it into her mouth. Makes for a messy, but adorable dinner experience.

Here is my walking (almost running) baby girl. A lot of pictures are coming out blurry now, since she's fast. I know there has to be a camera feature to help with this...I just haven't figured it out yet!

Quick Update

Wow, it's been way too long since I've blogged!!

Here is a quick update of what's happened since October:

Halloween

Sienna was the cutest strawberry I've ever seen. We went trick-or-treating up in Clovis with some good friends. She sat in the wagon the whole night and just enjoyed watching her friends run around!

MUSTACHE BASH

In November, I threw Garth a surprise 30th birthday. It was a 'Mustache' theme and we had a blast. We had a crowded house with about 50 people. It was a really fun time filled with yummy food, a photo booth, and some fire pits to keep warm!

Thanksgiving

We had an awesome Thanksgiving down south with both sides of our family. We all got together at Garth's Aunt and Uncle's home in Long Beach. There were about 30 of us and it was a whole lot of fun! I'm bummed we didn't get a whole group picture, but here are a couple pictures from the fun night.

Thanksgiving was also memorable because it was the first time (and hopefully last time) Sienna had an explosion in her diaper when we laid her down to take a nap in her pack n play and then rubbed it all over the crib and herself. It wasn't as bad as it could've been, because Garth went upstairs to check on her. So he stopped it before it could've gotten worse. It was good times cleaning up that mess! Good thing Garth's sister was there to help me out, she was a lifesaver! So sad I didn't get any pictures...it was a funny moment!
