I'm very late in posting this, since my baby girl will be 11 months old in a couple weeks! But better late than never, right? Sienna is growing and changing so much lately. We can't believe she's already 10 months old and crawling! Yes, that's right--she's crawling now. All over the place. Glad I'm only taking monthly pictures for a year, because it's becoming more and more challenging. I could do a series like I did last month- of her all over the chair, reaching for the sign, almost falling off...but I won't. Just know that she's a busy girl now.
Sienna loves to point at things, she continues to wave all the time, and she's started dancing a little. When she's standing she'll bounce and move. It's so cute!! We've had a battle over eating finger food for a long time now. I would place food on her tray at all her meals and they would ALL end up on the floor in Colby's belly. As much as Colby liked it, we didn't! However, last Thursday, after a LONG nap (4.5 hours!) she started eating everything we gave her and has continued to do so. Amazing!!
This is before she liked or would eat watermelon. She just liked to play with it. So we gave her a piece to see what she'd do with it. She loved it. She sat there playing with that piece of watermelon for so long. Colby loved the juices too.

Sienna's first 4th of July!
We went to a friends house, where they had hired a taco guy. It was awesome, despite the incredibly hot, sticky, muggy weather. Sienna was a trooper and lasted even in the gross weather.
Sienna LOVES the water. She loves her little crab pool, but she loves our big pool even more.
Sienna is officially a crawler. When she first started learning to crawl, she preferred the army crawl. But not anymore. This baby is going all over the place and now we need to officially baby-proof the house. She loves cabinets and drawers, pulling on the curtains...

she loves pulling herself up...and she started going up the stairs by herself the other day!! Don't know where she learned that one, but she just started going up them...and loves it.
Hope you are enjoying your summer!! We sure are. I am loving this time that I get to spend with my baby girl and sad that the summer is going to be over before we know it!
On a side note...
As many of you know, my grandma just passed away recently. She found out in mid-June that she had stage 4 lung cancer. This picture was taken a week after she found out. Her battle was quick and very painful. 20 days after she found out she had cancer, she passed away in her sleep. I'm so glad we got to go and be with her shortly before she passed. Gigi loved watching Sienna play and crawl around. She sure loved her. One thing she said to me that weekend was that she didn't want to miss Sienna's first dance recital. My grandma used to be a dancer, so she really wanted to see her grow up and dance. I told her that she'll be watching her from Heaven. She'll have the best seat in the house when our precious Sienna has her first dance recital. My parents said one of the last words she said was Sienna. Boy, I'm going to miss her so much. But I am so thankful she's in Heaven watching down on us and that she isn't in pain anymore.
One of my last and favorite memories of my grandma was when we were saying goodbye to her. It was really tough to hug her and hold her and not break down. We didn't know how long her battle with cancer would be at this point and we wanted to try to be positive (although we were all a mess once we walked out the door). I hugged her and told her how much I loved her. Then Garth went to hug her and she put out her fist to give him a fist pump. She had watched my brother give Garth a fist pump, so naturally she wanted to do it. So Garth went over to her, she put out her fist and we all started laughing. He gave her a fist pump and then she said, "That doesn't mean something dirty, does it?" We all started laughing. She was a funny lady. A lady that we will all miss so much.
